Repairing the rules now keeps what stood in the rule block beforehand. Repairing used to destroy the evidence.
- Whatever another plugin wrote over the rules was gone the moment they were restored — and with it the only clue to who keeps overwriting them.
- The settings tab shows the kept content next to the last-repair line, or says plainly that the rules were removed rather than overwritten.
- One generation is kept, and only the marker block — the rest of the file is other plugins’ business.
