An optional access log now counts what was blocked, per file (off by default). The mistake that keeps happening in practice is protecting too much — and that only ever shows up on the blocked visitor’s screen.
- It counts, per file, what Medifence did: blocked the request, served the placeholder, sent the visitor to the login screen, or accepted a share link.
- Only the file, what happened, and when are stored — no IP addresses, no user agents, no user names.
- A file that is blocked over and over is usually one your theme or another plugin needs for everyone, which tells you what to exclude.
- The 200 most recent files are kept for 30 days. Also available as
wp medifence log(--clear).
